The controls provided with Sullair TS32/25 series compressors use a microprocessor to control the inlet and spiral-valve via mechanical/pneumatic pressure regulators. The problem is that this control scheme requires regular cleanings and fine tuning to operate efficiently. Pneumatic devices use hot, wet, unconditioned air straight off the top of the separator lid. Shuttle valves stick, regulators clog, control-line filters clog and auto-drains fill with rust and condensate. This need for continuous maintenance is the weak link.
Replacing the pneumatic control scheme with electronic controls, I/P transducers, and a modern PLC based control solution will yield noticeable results. Tighter pressure control, improved efficiency, faster system response, less maintenance, and valuable data are just some of the added benefits.
Two Analog Outputs for Sullicon Valves & Two I/P Transducers for Sullair Spiral Valve for superior variable capacity control.
Control is optional for Rotary Screw Compressors.
Via common communication drivers, this feature enables and permits the electronic integration of Case Controllers with numerous third-party controllers.
Built on the Allen-Bradley line of factory automation by Rockwell, Case Controls uses ZERO proprietary parts. This means customers are free to select from a worldwide distribution network and multiple vendors for Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley hardware.
Whether on-site, by phone, or via modem connection, support is prompt, effective, and available 24/7.
Complete new documentation sets including wiring diagrams, part’s lists, and user-manuals which tho oughly address set-up, tuning, troubleshooting and operations.
Native Ethernet/IP and Modbus communication protocol. Other protocols are optional for connection to any third-party system.
AirStarPD-SAS™ is our solution specifically designed for the Sullair Rotary screw compressor and it’s unique spiral valve. Our retrokits are designed for reduced installation time and compressor downtime. Typical installation can be completed in approximately 6-8 hours. Additional variables for display, alarming, machine trip, and start-permissive can be added and configured in the field.
Retrokits include additional instrumentation and all necessary devices to complete installation. In most systems, the unreliable pressure and temperature switches are replaced with analog sensors for machine monitoring and safety. In some installations, the PLC/HMI will not physically fit within the OEM enclosure, an additional satellite enclosure is supplied.
There’s no better way to renew an old compressor than to make an easy yet powerful upgrade with AirStarPD-SAS™.
We understand a one-size-fits-all approach frequently doesn’t offer the best solution. Here at Case Controls we are fully capable of customizing a control system geared toward your specific needs. The AirStarPD-SAS™ system is offered as an engineered system designed to meet your unique specifications and environmental conditions. You name it and we can build it! Just one more reason Case Controls is the industry leader in compressed air automation.
